About Kate Mackinnon
"Kate is probably the most accomplished Craniosacral therapist that I have ever come across." Dr. Wayne Dyer
Kate takes a practical, down-to-earth approach to physical health and well-being. While she does not offer Physical Therapy treatments or services in her current practice, she has deftly woven her extensive knowledge to inform her work as an Alternative Healing Arts Practitioner. Kate holds herself to the highest standards, consistently expanding her knowledge through ongoing education in CranioSacral Therapy, Healing From the Core® and Havening®.

Her approach is rooted in empathy, reliability, and a strong commitment to her clients' physical and emotional needs. Kate’s own healing experiences have shaped her ability to connect with and support others.

Kate works well with people who want to get to the core of their health issues and face their challenges head-on. Her communication is well timed, honest, and gentle, helping clients feel truly heard and understood.

She believes that we all have the answers within us. Sometimes, however, we need someone with a solid, supportive presence and skilled hands to help us find our unique healing path. With unwavering dedication, Kate walks alongside her clients through the complexities of physical and emotional healing, often leading to the creation of a life filled with meaning and purpose.

Kate has been using touch to help people heal for over thirty-five years. Her hands have been educated to notice a wealth of information that helps to inform the client in resolving their issue. Kate specializes in CST and combines her training over the years to bring her unique skill set to the sessions. Kate is based in Livermore, California,
In these sessions, I use my Certified Master Practitioners of Distance Healing From the Core® skills. We work together to clarify how to provide the best opportunity for physically supporting change in your system and acknowledge the role of any emotional connections to the health issue you are dealing with.

Or, through Zoom, receive Havening® sessions where clients find that they handle life with more equanimity. Their stress response to events that once would derail them discover that they can handle these events feeling calmer, with less activation through their nervous system.
Kate has had a long-standing love of water, having learned to swim at a young age, and to this day, she uses swimming as her primary way of maintaining good physical and emotional health. Over the years, she has taught many people with disabilities to be water safe and adults to overcome their fear of water. One of her greatest joys has been to work with clients in the Bahamas in the dolphin accompanied CST four-day programs.

Writing
Kate has written articles and participated in podcasts on CST. She authored From My Hands and Heart: Achieving Health and Balance with CranioSacral Therapy and coauthored Elements of a Successful Therapeutic Business. She currently participates in a writing group where she enjoys writing historical fiction.
